Welcome to year 5-6T
From Thursday 7th January the children will take part in online learning from home. The children should log onto Dojo each day to access the work set for them. The format of our school day will be the same, as when we are in school and a timetable will be provided each day so the children know what work is set for them.
The children have been given their Maths No Problem Workbook and a pink book to complete their work in. These books must be kept in the condition that they are received as they are school books and will be used when we return.
There will be a range of resources for the children to access to learn from home such as, videos created by the teaching staff in year 5-6 and 6, websites to visit to conduct research, reading materials, worksheets and games to play. This will give the children all of the materials needed to learn independently from home. If the children need any additional support they can send us a message on Dojo. We will be marking some of the children work and posting the answers for others. The children should send us photographs of their work each day.
It is very important to complete the work set each day but it is also important to take time for yourself and to look after your body and mind. We will be setting physical activities to complete; regular mindfulness sessions and we will also be phoning home once a week.
Hopefully we will be back together soon, but until then take care and continue to follow the government guidelines to keep safe.
Even though we are working from home, our curriculum will be taught as normal. Below are all of the subjects and topics we will be learning this half term.
Please visit this page regularly as it will be updated with photos of our work and links to aid learning. Take a look at our planning documents to find out more about what we will be learning this year.
