Spring 2


During this term, we will be looking at volume, time and money.



We are focusing on Arthur’s Golden Rope as our main text this half term. We will be writing a newspaper report and a persuasive letter.  



We are looking at the topic of forces and magnets. We will be exploring how magnets work and different forces around us. We will meet Magnes the Shepherd.



We are looking at the natural world in Geography. Specifically, the rainforest and deserts. We will be exploring what life is like in a rainforest in terms of its climate and what animals live there. We will be exploring the climate of a desert and looking at cold deserts.



We are exploring the features of a castle and will be making our own castle.



Computing will be taught by Technola every Tuesday.



In PE, the focus is on invasion games. Remember to attend school in your PE kit on Mondays



We will be looking at citizenship and the importance of being a good citizen of our world.  


This half term in RE we will be looking at the question ‘Why do Christians call the day Jesus died ‘Good Friday’? and exploring key elements of the Easter story.



Children have been given their own log in for the TTRS website where they can access and practice. Our aim is to get faster and proficient at our times tables. In Year 3 children should be confident in their 2,5,10,3,4,8 timestables.



We will be exploring the song ‘The Dragon Song’ as well as practising our song for the Easter Service.
