Y3B

Welcome to Year 3B!

A huge welcome to all of our children and families. Please read this page to keep up to date with our focus for learning throughout the year. We are going to be asking, 'Where are we going and who are we going to meet?' throughout every unit of work. We will be travelling around the world and meeting many significant individuals. I am sure you will really enjoy the topics this year.

All of our Summer 1 learning is listed below. If you have any questions do not hesitate to speak to us before or after school or send a message on ClassDojo during school hours.

Miss Batool and Miss Turner

Maths

During this term, we will finish our topic of time and begin looking at how data is collected in different graphs.

Literacy

We will read 'My Best Friend is an Alien' and our final piece of writing will be a poem based on the book.

Science

In Science, we will be analysing plants and using our previous knowledge of plants from Year 2.

History

Our topic in History is The Tudors. We will look at the famous King Henry as well as understand how crimes were dealt with during the Tudor times.

Spellings

Spellings will be given on Monday each week. Spellings will be given on Class Dojo as opposed to paper print-outs. Please make sure your child is practising them each day as spelling tests will be on Friday of the same week.

Computing

Computing will be taught by Technola every Monday morning.

PHSE/RSE

In PHSE/RSE, we will be looking at family and relationships as well as how to keep healthy and be good citizens of the world.

TTRS

We will be practicing our times tables every day! Children will be given their own log in for the TTRS website where they can access and practice in their own time too. Our aim is to get faster and proficient at our times tables.

Music

We will be exploring the song 'Bringing Us Together' by Joanna Mangona and Pete Readman.
