1F
I hope you have had a lovely Easter holiday and got to eat lots of yummy easter eggs! This half term is going to be a very busy one! We will be looking at a range of different books in literacy, Old MacDonald's Farm and Dear Zoo to name a couple. We will be linking this into our science, where we will be looking at habitats of animals and what they eat. In numeracy we will be looking at place value, addition and subtraction, capacity and volume, fractions and position and direction. In geography we will be looking at the seven continents of the world, using atlases and globes to locate them, and where we live in the world!
Please see below for the relevant information regarding our class.
Reading Books
Please ensure that your child brings their book bag to school every day. We will change books on a Monday and Friday, if the books have been read and their record signed.
Learning Logs
Your child will bring home their learning logs on a Friday. Please ensure that they are brought back to school by Wednesday. Learning logs are an essential part of your child's education that recovers an area that we have done in class.
Fund Money
We would appreciate a voluntary contribution of 50p per week towards class funds. This money is used to buy resources such as baking ingredients, creative resources and books to make your child's learning as exciting as possible. Please bring the 50p each Monday morning.
P.E Kits
P.E is every Monday and Tuesday indoors. We will aim to have at least one session outdoors depending on the weather. Please ensure that your child’s P.E kit is in school.
