Activity 1: Read Frank Mills article and answer questions
Throughout lockdown, we have seen individuals doing remarkable things to help the NHS. Today, you are going to be reading about Frank Mills. He has been credited for his determination and charitable movement. You need to read the article about Frank and I would like you to underline the 3 facts that you think are the most important in this story.
After you have read the article, I would like you to answer the questions about the article below.
Activity 2: Read more inspiring lockdown stories
Along with Captain Tom and Frank Mills, there have been other remarkable things being done by the public during this difficult time. I would like you to read at least 'Lockdown 1 stories' and complete the summary table. If you are looking to do more, I will attach lockdown stories 2 and 3 as well for you to read.
Activity 3: Who has inspired you?
You need to now look at the example inspirations provided below. You are going to think about someone who has inspired you during lockdown and what they have done to inspire you. It could be someone you know or someone you have heard about in the last 3 months. You will need to make notes about the questions provided but don't worry if you get stuck on some questions.
I would like you to make your notes into a paragraph about that person who has inspired you during lockdown.
Who?
- Who has inspired you in lockdown?
- What did they do? Why did it inspire you?
What?
- What have you done that you are proud about?
- What would you still like to do?
