Mental Health and Wellbeing
Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at St Thomas's C.E. Primary School.
We are proud to be working towards being accredited with the bronze award for Emotionally Friendly Schools (EFS).
This year we are also excited to launch the My Happy Mind programme which promotes a positive wellbeing culture in which children build resilience, self-esteem and character. My Happy Mind uses the latest science, research and technology to help children develop lifelong habits and learn to thrive.
Please speak to Mrs James for further information.

Children's Mental Health Week
We were very lucky to have a visit from Bury FC and their mascot Peeler.
The children performed the Bury FC song 'Up the Shakers' and then learnt about the history of the club.
Year 3B enjoyed a training session in school and visited Gigg Lane for a tour of the stadium. They even met the Bury FC manager Dave McNabb.

Our curriculum provides opportunities for children to develop and build their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Through the provision of high quality Outdoor Education children of all ages reconnect with themselves, each other and the natural world.
Reconnecting our children with nature can have a positive impact on their social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and will provide them with rich and purposeful outdoor learning.
