Writing

This weeks the writing activities will focus on how to use 'and' to join sentences. Begin by watching the following video.

The word and is a joining word that can be used in different ways.

It can be used to add more information to a sentence. For example:
I like fish and chips.

It can also be used to join two different clauses together. A clause is a group of words that contain a subject and a verb. For example:
I went upstairs and I found a spider.
