Thank you for all you great work yesterday! Did you like seeing what Dickie was up to?
Let’s see how many of you can complete today’s activities. Remember to show me what you have been doing.
To start today's phonics please can you recap all of your phase 3 and phase 5 sounds that you find tricky. You can use your sound mats or you could use the flash cars on phonics play www.phonicsplay.co.uk
Can you now practice some of your tricky words- You need to be able to read and spell these! Practise the ones that you find difficult. Choose up to 5.
Today we want you to look at the sound 'ey' like in monkey, 'ea' like in bead, 'ee' like in see and 'e_e' like in theme.
Can you read and sort these words? (if you want to write them you can)
monkey bead see these
trolley steam feet complete
honey teacher sheep even
turkey treat wheel delete
We may have done some of these words before but it is always good practise.
Write the words on flash cards and sort into the column with the correct digraph.
Can you write up to 3 of these words into a sentence.
Or can you play Buried Treasure and practice the sounds?
Reading – Have you read any books from Big Cat Collins?
You should try to read one or two a week.
Remember Choose the colour above your home reading book. There is an activity to complete at the end of the book. Let me know what books you have read there are lots of dojo points on offer.

Topic – People who help us
Yesterday you wrote some brilliant sentences about the different people who help us and help to keep us safe.
Today can you choose one or more of people we are thankful to and create a poster to say thankyou. You can then display it in your window – but don’t forget to send me a picture on class dojo 😊 There are some more ideas below to help you
