Writing

Remember the work you did on question marks yesterday? Watch the video to recap if you need to and then have a go at Activity 2.

Activity 2: Writing a postcard

Watch the video below about The Magic Faraway Tree.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z7hc47h

Do you think you can explain what it's like to be at the top of The Magic Faraway Tree?

Write a postcard to somebody explaining what it was like at the top of the tree. You can decide who you want to send the postcard to - it could be somebody real or somebody imaginary.

Try to include a greeting at the beginning (like 'Dear' or 'To'), and some information about what you can see and who you met at the top of the tree. At the end of your postcard you will need a closing (like 'Love' or 'from').

Try and include some questions in your writing (remember to use a question mark).
