Literacy

If you want to re-read Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne.

Listen to the story on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpKWhRAG18

Year 1, I need your help again! I had written some brilliant sentences about what happened in the story but I have muddled them all up. Can you unscramble the sentences so that they make sense? Remember capital letters and full stops.

Then can you put the sentences in order to retell the story in the correct order? Thank you so much!!

Then can you write at least one sentence in your best handwriting. smiley

Topic – Animal Masks (Thursday and Friday)

This week we have been reading Handa’s Surprise and lots of cheeky animals steal the fruit in Handa’s Basket. Do you think you could create an animal mask? You can choose an animal from the story or choose a different animal of your choice. I have been included some ideas below:

I can’t wait to see what you do! Will I be able to recognise you hiding behind the mask?

Remember, you can post your work on Class Dojo to show me what you have done. There are lots of dojo points on offer! smiley
