Hello everyone!

We are always very busy in Reception. Please keep checking the website to see what we have been up to.

During the first half of the Summer term we will be observing the change in the season from Winter into Spring. We will be planting seeds and watching things grow and change. We will also be learning about the life cycles of various animals . Please see our Medium Term Plan at the bottom for more detail.

Keep an eye out for the next Stay and Play session for parents to attend.

We will be doing PE with a sports coach on Monday afternoon. Please can you send a full PE kit back into school.

We will be changing reading books on a Friday. The children will be given two books each week. Please can you send in a red book bag so we can send books home.

Each Friday we will set a challenge for the children to complete in their Learning Logs. Please send Learning Logs in on Thursdays for us to look at with the children and stick in the new challenge!

We operate an 'Open Door Policy' in Reception. You are very welcome to bring your child into school.

Spring Term 1 - We have been observing the change in the season from Autumn to Winter. We went on an environment walk to see if we could spot any changes. We have been thinking about animals and what happens to them when it's winter time.

Look at all the learning that has taken place!

On Saturday 28th January it was Chinese New Year. We celebrated in style!

Spring Term 2  - Traditional Tales

We are reading lots of traditional tales in our class. We have read Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Hansel and Gretel and many more.
