Reading Activities - The Firework-maker's Daughter. The next two weeks I will be reading a story by the author Philip Pullman called 'The Firework-maker's Daughter'. I will be reading a chapter a day or splitting a chapter into two parts. Today is Chapter 4.

Literacy Activity - The Water Goddess - For the lesson, we are going to read information about the water goddess and fill in a form using the 5 senses: sight, smell, touch, taste, and hear. I've uploaded the text so you can highlight and transfer the information to the grid. The lesson uses information in Chapter 3 and 4 so it is important you have listened to them. Once the sense sheet is filled, you are going to write a short description of the water goddess using a range of coordinating and subordinating conjunctions (I've attached a help sheet for you). You can use the conjunctions provided or some that I have taught and had on my wall above the T.V. (if you can remember them - hint, I SAW A WABUB).
Spelling Test - Listen to each word on the individual pages on the seesaw document. Write each word on the correct page. If you cannot hear the audio, please do the test on paper and upload a photo so I can see your spellings and scores.
