Monday 13th July
You are nearly there Year 6, the end is in sight!
This week, I am going to be focusing on transition and well-being as it has been a tough few months! I am going to set a couple of activities each day for you to be doing.
Task 1: Watch 'Will I lose my old friends?'
This is a question I am sure you are all thinking about as you start to think about high school. You need to reflect on the friends you have made during primary school and who you would like to keep in touch with. Some of your friends may be going to the same school but some may not. Effort works both ways in a friendship so you need to make time for each other if you want to maintain your friendships.
Although you will want to keep hold of your old friends, you will need to think about making new friends at high school. You need to think about the opportunities you can take advantage of to find new friends, for example after school clubs.

Task 2: Mental health work
Your well being is very important to us and we want to make sure you are okay. I would like you to look at the powerpoint and complete the activities on it. You may want to go through it with an adult in case there is something you don't understand or you want to discuss some of the activities with them. If you have any older siblings, they may be very useful to do this with.
Task 3: Transition lesson 6 - Bouncebackability
We have completed some of these activities for our home learning before. If you haven't been following the lessons, it isn't the end of the world. You can complete this lesson without doing the others so please complete it.
