Activity 1: Explore a set of instructions
Your first activity today is to watch a tutorial about a dance. A tutorial helps you to do something. After you have watched the tutorial, you need to read the Happy Feet instructions (attached below). I would like you to have a go at practising the dance ( only if you are feeling adventurous)! I would like you to think about the tutorial and the instructions and how they helped you. Which one helped you more and why?
Then, you need to read the instruction features and annotate dance instructions to show which features you can find.

Activity 2: Take notes
You are now going to watch the 'Cat Daddy' instructions video. I would like you to take notes about the video. Specifically, I would like you to make notes about the most important parts of the instructions to remember. You can either write or draw annotated sketches to help you.
Activity 3: Cat Daddy Written Instructions
Now, it is your turn to do some writing! I would like you to use your notes and sketches to produce your own written instructions for the 'Cat Daddy'. I would like you to set out your instructions out like the Happy Feet instructions. Try and include some of the instruction features you also looked at. You can include some sketches with your instructions.
