My name is Mr Steer and I am the Year 2 Class Teacher. In class you will find Mrs Baig and Mrs Walker who help me ensure the children have a fantastic time in school and learn as much as possible!!!
We currently have P.E. on a Monday so children must make sure their kits are in school on a Monday morning. Children are given home readers every Tuesday and Friday and get to take a book from the lending library every Thursday. We love reading in Year 2 and try to read as much as we can because we know reading really helps us with our writing.
On a Friday the children are given a special learning challenge which normally links to what we have been learning about in school that week. One lucky child is also given 'Ted' the bear the take home and look after for the weekend. I love reading all about what the children have done with Ted and especially love looking at their pictures with him.
My door is always open for parents to chat to me and please don't hesitate if you have any queries.
