30th March
Hello children, we hope that you are staying safe and keeping active. We are missing having you in school but know that you will be keeping up with your super learning at home. If you have any questions about the learning this week please get in touch on class dojo!
Maths
Starter
Represent different numbers
Use your tens frame and counters or raisins or cereal pieces etc. Start by using one tens frame and make numbers up to 10. Use a second tens frame to show numbers to 20. Once you have made them you can draw them. Video link (look at example 2)

Lesson 1 – Introduce weight and mass
Let’s find out about weight and mass https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/
Watch the video and then attempt the questions.
Either print and complete, write the answers on a separate sheet or discuss the answers with an adult or older brother or sister.
Literacy
We would love to read what you have been up to so we would like you to start a diary to tell us all about your week. Try and use your 5 senses to add detail to your writing. Don’t forget to use your success criteria!
Remember to keep up with your daily reading. Pick out 5 common exception words from the list given. Can you have ago at reading and spelling each of them.
Foundation
Go onto Purple Mash and login with your details (Most of these are stuck in your reading diary)
I have set two 2Dos for art based on the Great Fire of London. You can do one or both. One is to draw what the houses looked like, remember we spent time learning about this and the other is what Samuel Pepys would have seen out of his window.
