Maths Activity - MNP Area and Perimeter - Lesson 11 (Estimating the Area). This is a one-off lesson of estimating the area. This is a skill of working out the area of shapes that don't have straight sides. It is really simple if you follow the 4 step plan to get the right answer. Take care when showing working out as you will need to show it.

Literacy Activity - At the end of the chapter, it is revealed that his mum has summoned him home. Think about how William was at the start of the story when he first met Mr Oakley to how William feels, and behaves now (There is a big difference). How is William feeling about this news of returning home knowing what could face him when he returns to London? I would like you to write a short diary extract in the role of William exploring his feelings on the eve of his return. You could illustrate alongside your entry with images that he would want to 'hold on to' as he leaves. Hand-write your diary extract, take a picture of it and upload it onto the page of the Literacy Activity on Seesaw.
