Continue with activities in the daily phonics and reading activities on the website. Recap phase 3 and phase 5 sounds from sound mats or on phonics play.
Today we would like you to look at the sound 'ie' like in tie 'igh' like in night and 'i_e' like in kite. Can you read and write these words?

Write the words on flash cards and sort into the column with the correct diagraph.

Warm-up – Can you practice doubling numbers Pick a number up to 5, can your child recognise the corresponding double fact? Re-enforce numbers they struggle with practical objects. When they are confident move onto numbers 6-10. The aim is for rapid recall.
