11:00am - 12:15pm LITERACY/READING
Activity 1: Read advert and reflect
Your first activity for today is to read the child president advert and application information. Once you have read the advert and information, I would like you to think about this scheme. Do you think it is a good idea? What is good about the scheme? What problems could it make happen?
Activity 2: More subjunctive practice
Yesterday, you started to recap subjunctive form and why we use it. Today, you are going to continue to work on this as it can be tricky. Your grammar activity today is to find examples of the subjunctive in the application information. You may want to underline it or highlight them when you think you have found it. I will post below the link to yesterday's recap video in case you have forgotten.

** Challenge - Can you find examples of the passive voice and any formal vocabulary?
Forgotten what the difference is between passive and active voice? Recap on the link below:

Activity 3: Let your inner president out...
Now you have seen the advert and information, I would like you to write your application. Before you do your application, I would like you think about 3-5 different actions you would do if you became the next child president.
You may want to use some of the writing prompts to help you get started. You will need to explain your ideas in some detail because if I just get something like... 'If I were president for a day, I would ban school uniforms', it will be a NO from me! You need to be convincing year 6!
