Welcome to 6T!

Welcome back to our second Autumn term. The children have worked incredibly hard during our first term and I am sure they will continue to work just as hard this term. Please keep looking at our class page for regular updates and upcoming homework due dates.

Furthermore, we would like to say a big congratulations to our new head girl and boy, along with their new deputies.

Children will be issued with homework each week, which will be expected back in during the following week. Please encourage your children to complete their set homework as it will contribute to their understanding of the work we are completing during class time. They will also have a weekly spelling test which will be every Friday morning. They will also be given new spellings each Friday to learn.

Creating artwork based on Kensuke's Kingdom

This week, we have been trying to create our own interpretation of the Kensuke's Kingdom front cover. We used poster paints, water colours and drawing skills to help us bring our artwork to life.
The children have been working incredibly hard to complete work towards our shoebox donations in the last couple of weeks. Our class assembly on the 21st November will be based on our shoebox journey so come along and hear it. I would like to say a massive thank you to parents who have helped support our class charity and for making such an effort.

French song with Madam Bell

This term, the children have been focusing on activities and hobbies in French with Madam Bell. They even learnt a song all about different hobbies in French!
The children have been taking part in the 2019 Bebras challenge. They were asked to complete the challenge individually. They were given a selection of difficult computing tasks which they had to use a variety of different skills to complete them. The children found it very challenging but enjoyed taking part.

Mrs Geeling has been working with the children during Autumn 1 and they have done some amazing work. Both classes have been practising 'Make you feel my love' by Adele in their music sessions. Here is a little preview of their amazing performance.
