Good Morning Year 1,
Thank you for all your lovely work yesterday, I was very impressed! I’m looking forward to ringing you later today. I can’t wait to find out what you have been up to.
Let’s see how many of you can complete today’s activities. Remember to show me what you have been doing.

Phonics
To start today's phonics please can you recap all of your phase 3 and phase 5 sounds that you find tricky. You can use your sound mats or you could use the flash cars on phonics play www.newphonicsplay.co.uk
Can you now practice some of your tricky words- You need to be able to read and spell these! Practise the ones that you find difficult. Choose up to 5.

Why don’t you try playing a matching pairs game? Write out the words twice on squares of paper (or print out below) and then turn them over. Take it in turns to see if you can find a matching pair (every time you turn a square over you must say the word out loud). If you find a matching pair and read it correctly, you get to keep the pair. The winner is the person with the most pairs.
Or can you play Buried Treasure and practice ‘e-e’ the sounds?
