Activity 2: What is Prospero/Miranda thinking?
As you have seen in episode 2, we are starting to hear what lead Prospero and Miranda to be on the island alone. With all this anger and revenge building up, what really is Prospero thinking in his head? What is Miranda thinking?
I would like you to write an extract for a diary entry in the role of either Miranda or Prospero. Remember, a diary entry is personal and reflects what a person is really thinking. Think about what each character may be thinking at this point in the story. What you write will depend on who you choose. I will write some questions to generate your ideas. These are just to help you, if you have different ideas... GO FOR IT! Be imaginative!
Miranda:
- Who is my uncle? Why would he want us to go away?
- Was it something Prospero did?
- What is my father going to do?
- What can I do to solve their feud?
Prospero:
- What shall I do to my brother?
- Do I want to be as bad as him?
- What happened in the past? Can you be creative and go into more detail about this?
- How will you protect Miranda?
