Your first task is to watch the video (Birnam wood comes to Dunsinane) and take notes about what is happening, as this will help you complete your comprehension.

After you have watched the video, I would like you to complete the comprehension questions below.

Activity 2: Plan a newspaper article

Tomorrow, you are going to write a nail-biting article about the final battle between Malcolm and Macbeth! In preparation for this task, I would like you to plan your report. I suggest you look at the article on the following link to help you think about your newspaper features.

Think about what stands out and what you first look at as this will be your readers (me) with yours. I will list some questions to help you plan your newspaper report.  REMEMBER, you are only planning today year 6 but you could draft some paragraphs to help you.

What is going to be your headline title to get your readers engaged?

What pictures will you put in?

What key vocabulary do you need to include?

How are you going to organise your paragraphs?

Will you include an eye-witness interview in your newspaper report?

What events will you write about in your newspaper report?

Last week, we looked at different capital cities around the Europe. This week, I would like you to focus on our capital city and the features of it.

I would like you to create a fact file about London and use a similar start for your research as last week. I will post the questions to get you started.
