Thursday 2nd July

Reading Activities - The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Today's Tale is called 'Babbity Rabbity and Her Cackling Stump'. Each story has a moral or meaning behind it and after each one, there are a collection of notes written by Albus Dumbledore (Headmaster of Hogwarts) that provide a little bit of history and meaning behind each tale. Please tick the box to prove you have listened to the tales.

Maths Activity - MNP Volume Lesson 9 - For this lesson, we are going to use our knowledge of volume to solve some word problems using the comparison bar model. The In focus question is a standard question you may be asked and the Guided practice is rather difficult, especially part two. I struggled with this word problem as you already know (the infamous word problem). If you don't get it, don't worry as you would never be asked a question like that on SATs. Definitely T4 question

Literacy Activity -  BRAHCS - Mixture of Activities

After you have read 'Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump', I have created a mixture of fun activities for you to do.. They consist of the following things:

Page 1 - Answer the 5 questions about the book.

Page 2 - True of False questions

Page 3 - Word Scramble (This is quite difficult so don't give up - try to work out the real word by rearranging the letters

Page 4 - Opinion - I've given you a scenario I would like you to share your opinion on. It must be fewer than 100 words long ( a bit like a tweet on twitter)

The last activity is a jigsaw puzzle which can be found by clicking the following link. I have done the jigsaw and it took me 15 minutes and 22 seconds. How long will it take you? If you do it, screenshot the image and attach to the document with a time taken.

Some activities are easier than others and I would like at least 3 of the activities to be completed.
