10:30am - 11:00am BREAK TIME

Make the most of your break time, you can: go for some fresh air, have a snack, colouring, watch a newsround clip, etc..

11:00am - 12:15pm LITERACY/READING

Activity 1: Read about author, Benjamin Zephaniah

Today's first activity is to find out more about Benjamin Zephaniah through his author profile and an interview. You need to read both materials provided and I would like you to highlight/underline the most important information in each. I would like you to use the author summary sheet to show what you have found out about him in both texts provided to you.

Activity 2: Read poems by Benjamin Zephaniah

I have selected 3 poems written by Benjamin Zephaniah for you to read. I would like you to read all 3 poems and then decide which one is your favourite.

On the first week of black lives matters, Benjamin Zephaniah was asked to read a poem out on stage. Which one would you pick for him to read and why?

Activity 3: Read aloud your favourite poem

You have now read 3 poems by Benjamin Zephaniah and you should have already picked your favourite one. Now you have picked, I would like you to perform it and record yourself doing it. You do not have to show your face if you do not want to. Please send me your performances over class dojo portfolio.
