You will need to click on the following link to access the lesson resources.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks2-macbeth-ep5/zm3tbdm
Your first task is to watch the video (a trap for Banquo) and take notes about what is happening, as this will help you complete your comprehension and writing task.
After you have watched the video, I would like you to complete the comprehension questions below.
Activity 2: Write a diary entry
Your writing task today is to write a diary entry of the events, which happen in video 5. You will be writing in the style of Macbeth, so it is important you understand his thoughts and feelings of the events. Remember, your diary entry will need to be written in first person (I), make sure it sounds like it is coming from Macbeth.
In your diary entry, you may want to include:
- Parts of your diary entry talking about events in the day
- His personal thoughts and feelings
- Rhetorical questions
Want to do another character instead of Macbeth? That is perfectly fine but make sure you talk about the events that character was involved in.
If you are struggling, just ask!
12:15pm - 1:15pm LUNCH
1:15pm - 2:30pm FOUNDATION - GEOGRAPHY
We have been focusing on countries and their capitals as a part of our geography home learning. I would like you to focus on one capital city and do some research about this capital. I will suggest some information that I want you to find. But you may choose to go off and find out other interesting things about your capital. It is up to you how you present your research but you know I love seeing you present your work in different ways. I will list some ways you could present it.
- Leaflet, poster, fact file, powerpoint, geographic channel video, etc...
Below, I have attached a link where you can pick your capital city. I have picked a selection for you but it depends which capital city it lands on.
